Physics behind Riddle

Before the aid is cut, both balls are perfectly balanced. Gravity is pulling Ball A down. The elongated spring is pulling upwards with the same force. In the same way, gravity pulls down on ball B and the rope pulls up with equal tension. These forces cancel each other out so the two balls do not move.
