“What if I accept what I really want is a small, slow and simple life? A beautiful, calm and gentle life. I think that is enough.” ~ Krista O’Reilly-Davi-Digui
Why do we feel this way? Pressure Big dream? I think it starts in childhood when parents, teachers and other adults start asking the question, “What do you want to be when you grow up?”
One of the many problems with this question is its inference. In the classroom, at church, at youth camp, and at home, you are not alone, and you can listen, understand, and internally how others can answer this question. If you pay attention, you will notice a change in response from one age group to the next.
For young children, the answer is very simple and relates to their immediate environment. A little girl can answer that she wants to be a mother when she grows up. A little boy can answer that he wants to be a cop. A teenage girl may say she wants to be a teacher, while a teenage boy may say he wants to be an investigator. A teenage girl may want to be a singer when she grows up, or a teenage boy may want to be a football player.
By the time most of these children reach adulthood, the answers will not be as varied and light as they used to be. The answer will start with a specific pattern. The most common answers would be doctors, lawyers, investment banks, pilots, engineers, etc.
There are definitely many reasons for this, but what I want to emphasize is financial freedom and everything that comes with it.
At some point in our lives, we realize the power that money has, and our dreams, aspirations, desires, and lifestyles begin to form around it.
Where I come from It is not uncommon for teachers to advise students not to become teachers but to try to be doctors or pilots because those professions usually make more money. Everything else is less urgent.
There is a strange thing that we tell ourselves that as long as there is money, everything else will fall into place. If you have reached adulthood, you may have discovered that this is not true. But that does not mean you have changed your goals.
Whether you become a doctor, a teacher, an innovator, a small business owner or whatever, our dreams and aspirations are always similar.
Our dream is not only to have a comfortable roof for calling home, but also to have an enviable location that generates income and vacation homes.
Our desire is not just to have a car for convenience, but to have two or more cars that are more expensive and in better shape.
Our goal is not just to be healthy anymore, to keep the body functioning perfectly in terms of strength, balance, flexibility and proportion. Now it must be set the provocative volume and the basis of the artwork to see, admire and discuss.
Even a normal walk is not just a walk. You need to count your steps, calculate the calories burned and share your results.
Financial freedom is no longer a daily necessity or set aside for the rainy season or emergencies, but it is now a full-time job on top of your full-time and part-time jobs.
With the advent of happiness, scholars, councils, visions, affirmations and cultures feel good, our dreams and aspirations are becoming unbearable. Now there is a formula to dream and want and standard results to match.
I have always wondered if almost all vision panels around the world tend to look the same. It is even more interesting when you think about the fact that we are all raised in different homes and have different cultural and religious backgrounds, our bodies look different and our educational backgrounds are different. But our desires, dreams, visions, and desires seem to come together.
The most common on the vision panel are all. Property. Special homes, expensive cars and enviable vacation spots. And even though our genes are different, bone density, height, and so on. Physical goals are very similar, if not identical.
We are all reciting the same morning and evening words to emphasize prosperity and abundance.
You will find it hard to find a scene full of desires related to patience, kindness, apology, picking up trash, checking neighbors, calling more family members for pet food, finding happiness in your finances, unlike making extra money, being grateful that the bus stops near your home and that you have a car or no change that season. The body that is pregnant, the body that is sick, the body that bears and gives birth to other people, different bodies, etc.
It may have such a visual panel, but it is not the norm.
We are all free to dream, dream and imagine the kind of lifestyle we want. We all know this. The thing to say is that you can also have little aspirations and simple dreams, and your dreams and aspirations are still worthy.
You are not lazy. You have little or no faith because the life of your dreams that you imagine and create in your mind, those deep desires and aspirations look like this:
Walk or bike to wherever you need to go to buy second-hand clothes Simple houseEat what you grew up with and keep creating your own entertainment with what you have and have a good time while working and earning less, sleeping in the afternoon, reading on the balcony without making mistakes, spending your evenings or weekends just chatting with people whether they are family, neighbors, friends or just strangers and showing up in your life for free or without spending hours.
If you have never wanted to wear expensive perfume and you are happy with a body spray or nothing, then your desire is worth it.
If you have crooked teeth but are not eager to get braces, you do not spend less. You, my friend, are touched by satisfaction.
Maybe you enjoy walking, yoga, yoga or martial arts or dancing to your favorite music, unlike doing HIIT and sweating at the gym. Yes, you have wide hips, good cellulite levels, scars, maybe a small belly, and your favorite exercise will not be able to sculpt the body, but maybe you do not care less.
No, you are not lazy to not want to submit to military training every day for the rest of your life to be an artist for the enjoyment of others. If you have peace and see the value in your favorite type of physical activity, then this is all there is to it.
If you do not plan an expensive vacation, but instead choose a little break in your daily life, whether it be to the beach on the weekends, to the beach in the afternoon, or just go for a walk once a week or have lunch at these good restaurants, these are all ways to relax and embrace something new. You do not settle for less that your full potential.
Today’s standard financial poverty should not equate to mental poverty, physical weakness, poor mentality, poor friendships, poor relationships, poor happiness or poor happiness.
You are not a small person because you do not drive a luxury car (or any car), you live in a small apartment instead of a house you own, you do not have a brand or luxury, you do not vacation in Greece and you go to a small vocational college (or none at all).
Determine what is important and meaningful to you and do not throw it into the rock. Allow yourself your definition, your morals, your values, your dreams, your desires, your vision, your affirmations, your emotions, your body, and your belief system to change, to evolve with the changing times and seasons of life.
Life does not always have to expand and grow. It also shrinks and shrinks. This is okay. Every stage of life is valued and maintained, and you are allowed to enjoy them in them and be at peace while they are.
