Before an animated question:
Name what is happening.
“I’m moving because I’m worried / bored / lonely / avoiding a task.”
That one sentence reduces grip. Now choose your question.

A) Position your body (from rotation to stability)
- How do I feel about myself now – really? (Chest tight, trembling, heavy jaw)
- Where can I soften 5%? (Shoulder, forehead, tongue)
- Which slow breath can I give myself?
- What color is the room? Name the 3 things you see.
- If my body needed a little kindness, what would it be? (Water, stretch, warm)
B) Separate reality from fear and gain clarity
- What did I do? True Learn from the last 2 minutes of scrolling?
- What is the truth… and what is my story about the truth?
- Is this urgent or just emotional?
- What’s the worst case scenario my mind is selling me – and how likely is it?
- If this does not improve, can I still handle some aspects of my life? How?
(You do not need certainty to solve – you need Tolerance for uncertainty.)
C) Re-agency (from desperate to competent)
- What is one thing I can influence today – in person?
- Which activity reduces risk or increases stability by 1%?
- What will the responsibility look like in 10 minutes – not forever?
- What are the next small steps I have avoided?
- If I do something useful now, what will I be thankful for in the future?
D) Protect your attention (from intentional theft)
- What feelings do I try not to feel by scrolling?
- What do I hope the next post will give me? (Relief, Management Answer)
- Did scrolling really give me that?
- What do I want my attention to be on? Build Today? (Health, money, love, handicrafts)
- If my attention is cash, will I spend it this way?
E) Switch to meaning + positive direction (from drain to life)
- What good is a web site if it simply “blends in” with everything else out there?
- What quality do I want to include in the next hour? (Calmness, Courage, Dignity, Concentration)
- What should I do if I believe I can handle the discomfort?
- What is one thing I care more about than this information?
- Which statement can I tell myself is true and empowering?
Example:
- “This is an unbearable discomfort.”
- “I can choose my next action.”
- “I do not have to deal with everything to live well today.”
2 minute mini script (available at any time)
Step 1 (10 seconds): “I’m scrolling because ______”
Step 2 (60 seconds): Answer the question 1, 7, 11, 20, 22 (One sentence at a time).
Step 3 (50 seconds): Do One. Activity: Drink water, stand up, send a message to a friend, write a 3-line plan, start the next task in 2 minutes.
Ready. There is no perfection. Just a distraction + direction.
